We are very pleased to announce that our colleague Patricia Arroba has been accepted to participate in the EM EASED (Erasmus Mundus – Euro Asia Sustainable Energy Development) Programme supported by the European Commission. This scholarship allows Patricia to finish her Doctorate at the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, supervised by Prof. Satoshi Matsuoka, from October 2016 to April 2017.
The ERASMUS MUNDUS programme is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education that aims to promote dialogue and understanding between people and cultures through cooperation with Third-Countries. In addition, it contributes to the development of human resources and the international cooperation capacity of Higher education institutions in Third Countries by increasing mobility between the European Union and these countries.
Tokyo Institute of Technology is the largest institution for higher education in Japan dedicated to science and technology. Prof. Matsuoka leads the project TSUBAME 2.0, the fastest supercomputer in Japan and the second most energy-efficient supercomputer in the world.
We wish her to have a nice and productive work. Congratulations!
