Last week Patricia Arroba attended as speaker to the XVIth edition of the Mathematical Modelling Series in Valencia (Spain).
The Instituto Universitario de Matemática Multidisciplinar, located at the Polytechnic City of Innovation in Valencia, Spain organized the Mathematical Modelling in Engineering & Human Behaviour 2014 Conference from September 3th to September 5th, 2014.
This correspond to the XVIth edition of the Mathematical Modelling Series whose objective is to gather specialists in areas of Medicine, Sociology, Business & Engineering with the common goal of discussing the latest mathematical and modelling techniques in their fields.
Their plan to develop an interdisciplinary forum where the latest mathematical techniques could be discussed in a common and understandable language to experts in cross-disciplinary areas and in such a way that synergizing benefit can be gathered for researchers in any area where mathematics is important for the formulation of predictive models.
She presented her work called “Evolutionary Power Modeling for High-end Servers in Cloud Data Centers” proposes the application of evolutionary computation techniques to generate customized power models of enterprise servers in Cloud Data Centers.
